If you've seriously played Scrabble, you'll know that the Official Scrabble Dictionary is a must. It is the final word on what can be added to the board or not. Well, for the first time in a decade there are new additions being made to the dictionary. Check out this Time article for more and the link to see what words "make the cut".
Kiwi slang. "Chur bro, it was so crazy! My mate was up the creek without a paddle; all I could do was watch. I was splitting my sides! He's such a dufus!" This makes perfect sense to most of us who have been born and raised on such iconic kiwi language. But spare a thought for those new to our country, or those trying to learn English surrounded by people who throw slang into every sentence.
